CHALLENGE
Fantasy Cakes and Fine Pastries was an established bakery with an existing name, but its visual identity did not fully reflect the artistry, customization and attention to detail behind its work. The challenge was to create a color and typography system that felt appropriate for the category while expressing the handcrafted character of its custom cakes.
STRATEGY
We kept the established Fantasy Cakes name and rebuilt the visual language around it. The strategy paired expressive typography with a cream, dusty blue and chocolate brown palette, then introduced subtle ornamental details inspired by piping, frosting and the decorative finishing techniques used in custom cake design.
IDENTITY
A condensed display serif gives the Fantasy Cakes name a distinctive, handcrafted presence, while the spaced “& Fine Pastries” line establishes a clear secondary hierarchy. Three wordmark lockups, an FC monogram seal, six colorways and a set of 16 line icons create a flexible identity system that can move from packaging and printed materials to digital applications without losing its character.
